Neko Health Raises $700M at Nearly $7B Valuation

STOCKHOLM: Neko Health raises $700 million in Series C funding at close to a $7 billion valuation. The Spotify founder’s body-scanning startup is coming to America.

Lightspeed Venture Partners and O.G. Venture Partners co-lead the round, announced July 15. The valuation has quadrupled since the January 2025 Series B. Daniel Ek co-founded the company with CEO Hjalmar Nilsonne in 2018.

The investor list is unusually star-studded. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan invest as individuals. So do Maria Sharapova, will.i.am, Thierry Henry, Tim Ferriss, Jimmy Iovine, and Ari Emanuel. Atomico, General Catalyst, Lakestar, Liberty City Ventures, and BDT & MSD provide the institutional weight.

The money funds Neko’s first American clinic, opening in Manhattan this year. The company wants locations in most major US cities eventually.

The product is a 60-minute full-body scan. A sensor pod captures millions of data points on skin, heart, and circulation. Blood tests run alongside. A doctor walks through results the same day, screening for early signs of skin cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

A visit costs £299 in the UK. US pricing isn’t set. More than 100,000 people have been scanned across eight European clinics, and the waitlist tops 350,000. Three-quarters of members pre-pay their next annual scan before leaving the building.

“We believe this is one of the most important healthcare companies of our generation,” says Lightspeed partner Bejul Somaia.

Not everyone agrees. Some doctors question whether whole-body scans catch enough real disease to justify the cost and the false alarms. Neko counters with its own data: five of seven core biomarkers improve between a member’s first and second visits. New York will test both arguments.
