Claude AI Goes Down Worldwide: Anthropic Confirms Outage, Fix Underway

New Delhi: Thousands of users across the globe were left unable to use Claude on Tuesday after the AI chatbot suffered a major service disruption.

Anthropic’s popular AI assistant Claude stopped working for users around the world on Tuesday morning. People trying to use the chatbot were either met with error messages or saw their prompts go unanswered. Some users could log in but got no response from Claude at all.

“Due to unexpected capacity constraints, Claude is unable to respond to your message. Please try again soon,” said the company in a message.

Anthropic officially acknowledged the disruption on its status page, saying its teams were tracking elevated error rates across several services. The company later said it had found the root cause and was rolling out a fix. “The issue has been identified, and a fix is being implemented. We are currently investigating this issue,” company said in a statement.

At the time of writing, the fix was still being deployed and some users continued to face issues.

Social media lit up with users sharing screenshots and checking whether others were facing the same problems. Many businesses and developers who rely on Claude for their daily work were left waiting, highlighting how dependent people have become on AI tools.
